Customized Robotic Arm Orders Surge
Since 2026, the explosive growth in customized robotic arm orders has become a prominent feature of the
industrial automation sector. From 3C electronics industrial parks in the Pearl River Delta to new energy ma
nufacturing bases in the Yangtze River Delta, many manufacturers' customized needs have been scheduled
for the second half of the year. Equipment in workshops is running non-stop for testing and commissioning,
and newly produced customized models are already being shipped to customers' sites even before final veri
fication.
This surge in customized demand has long transcended the traditional framework of industry: there are flex
ible handling robots for power battery production lines, specifically designed to meet the high-precision
alignment requirements of different battery cell specifications; there are customized models optimized for
semiconductor cleanrooms, achieving top-tier dust control standards; and many SMEs are requesting light
weight customization, adjusting the end-effector load and optimizing deployment paths based on existing
collaborative arms to fit the limited space of their own workshops.
The driving force behind this surge is the deep penetration of automation transformation across the entire
industry. Data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that China's industrial robot production increase
d by 33.2% year-on-year in the first quarter. This surge in demand for customized solutions across various
manufacturing scenarios has activated a large number of niche markets, rendering general-purpose robotic
arms inadequate for the specific working conditions of different production lines. Many manufacturers saw
their customized business increase by over 60% year-on-year. The extended service chain, from initial needs
assessment and solution simulation to on-site debugging and delivery, has resulted in an average produc
tion line efficiency increase of over 30% for clients.
Customization demand in overseas markets is also booming. Many clients in Southeast Asia and Latin Amer
ica have specifically requested modifications to adapt to their unique local production processes. Domesti
cally produced customized robotic arms, with their high cost-effectiveness and rapid response capabilities,
have quickly gained a foothold in the global market, becoming a new engine driving industry growth.
